Sustainability & Civic Engagement
I volunteered with the "Cordées de la Réussite" program to mentor middle school students at Rosa Parks College. During these sessions, I engaged in open discussions to help them navigate their educational orientation. My goal was not to impose a path, but to guide them toward a future that bridges their personal passions with the concrete needs of society, offering them a realistic perspective on their options.
For me, math tutoring is fundamentally a relational and empowering experience. Working with children has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and the ability to break down complex ideas into clear, digestible steps. I enjoy the challenge of identifying a student's specific hurdles, building their confidence, and pivoting my teaching approach in real-time until the concept clicks. It is a rewarding way to develop the empathy and communication skills essential for effective mentorship.
